Youth Red Cross Inauguration Programme

The Youth Red Cross inauguration at NIHS marked the beginning of active student involvement in community service and social responsibility.

The inauguration ceremony of the Youth Red Cross (YRC) was successfully conducted on 12th May 2025 at NIHS, Bantakal, with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and faculty members. The programme marked the beginning of a new initiative aimed at promoting community service, social responsibility, and humanitarian values among students.

The event commenced with a warm welcome address delivered by Ms. Jennifer Silvy Mathias, YRC Officer. She provided a brief yet informative introduction to the Youth Red Cross, highlighting its history, objectives, and the vital role it plays in youth development, social service, and humanitarian activities.

The programme was formally inaugurated by Ms. Roshni Rodrigues, who emphasized the importance of student involvement in community service and encouraged students to actively participate in YRC initiatives. The inauguration symbolized the beginning of a new chapter in fostering youth engagement and service-oriented activities within the institution.

Following the inauguration, the election of office bearers was conducted. Ms. Sriraksha was elected as the Vice Chairmen, and Mr. Likith C.V. was elected as the Secretary through a fair selection process.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Ajith, who expressed sincere gratitude to the dignitaries, participants, and volunteers for their valuable contributions in making the event a success.

The inauguration programme successfully introduced students to the mission and activities of the Youth Red Cross. It encouraged active student participation in social service and health-related initiatives, fostering a sense of responsibility and leadership.
